Nineteen Weeks

It's a pepper, too.

The approximate size of the Great Miller Experiment #2.

Stand in the Place Where You Live

It's been twenty-four hours of milestones in the ol' Miller household.
Audrey has finally consented to stand up, instead of expecting the world to bend to her!

(Audrey would like me to tell you that her will, however, is as unbendable as ever.)

And when I picked Audrey up from daycare today, she was sporting a whole new hair do.  Behold, the ponytail!

The caregiver claimed that Audrey's hair kept getting into her food, but maybe the fact that Audrey was dressed like the member of a boy band prompted the gender fix.

Not Your Dairy Queen Blizzard

I've weathered my share of northeast snowstorms, but my previous experience with blizzards had been limited to the blizzard at the beginning of Wuthering Heights.  What to do, then, in the face of a full blizzard lockdown?  Getting snuck in snow drifts and drinking hot toddies served by motherly housekeeper worked well in the Bronte classic, but we decided to try something a little more modern.  As in creating modern art.

Audrey transitioned quickly from the inquisitive toddler to the frustrated artist.

This artistic endeavor ended predictably enough.

We then let the lil Picasso have a go at the camera.

Once the winds slowed from the highly dangerous to the slightly threatening, we piled the babe back into the sled for more snow adventures.

Little Flakes, Big Snow

For weeks the forecast predicted snow on Christmas morning.  Even though I have lived in the Northeast
for an increasingly tedious amount of time, I have never had snow on Christmas day. I keep waiting for these frigid winters to pay off in some sort of holiday festiveness.  Alas, in keeping with tradition, we had no snow this Christmas either.

But Boxing Day, dear readers, came through!

After I hog wrestled Audrey into her snowsuit . . .

we sledded down the driveway.

Then we frolicked and played . . .

the Eskimo way.

Holy Guacamole!

It occurred to me today that I've been so negligent updating this blog that I haven't even announced the new baby news.  Yup, I'm pregnant; I'm sixteen weeks along, which means the littlest Miller is the approximate size of one of my favorite fruits:

We won't know for sure which side of the Gap this Miller will be shopping on until January 5th.  Until then, I'll probably just assume it's a girl.

Born to Be Wild!

Who needs to walk when you can run down your enemies on your mini-ATV?

Audrey has been tearing it up lately on her new gift from Auntie Wally.

Poor Sailor will never have a moment's peace now.

Get on your bikes and ride!

Whip It!

It has been a while, I know.  But it has been a busy last few weeks, and the wireless internet we had been stealing was really slow (damn you, Pumpkinpants1!), but now that my semester is over, and we manned up and actually got our own internet service, blogging should be back to its usual slow, as opposed to non-existant, pace.

Anyways, since I'm sure you are all starving for pics of our little bundle of awesome, here you go:

There is more than one way to wean a baby.

Today is Auntie Wally's Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Auntie Wally!

In honor of Paula's twenty-eight birthday, I put together all the awesome photos that were missing from Alex's previous blog post.  Let the good times roll!

Day Two
Here we are at Audrey's daycare Trunk or Treat.  Audrey was having a difficult morning, so instead of subjecting her to her monkey costume, I just dressed her like the lovechild Pat Benatar and Casper the Ghost.

We spent the rest of the day just being super heros.

Really cute super heros, that is.

Day Three
Auntie and Niece got all color coordinated.

Let me fix you up, Auntie Wally.

Thanks for the visit!  Have a happy birthday!  We love you so much!

Halloween Highlights

For Halloween, Audrey channelled her inner monkey.

Why is this thing on my face?

Oh, hey!  There's everybody!

Dude . . . too much candy . . .

An at midnight, the Millers turned into pumpkins.
