The Daily Bud and Audrey: Next to Godliness

There are moments in life where a Thing will change everything.  This Thing can be as momentous as a new home or a new job or sometimes something as small as oiling a squeak.  Well, folks, in the last few weeks, we here in Miller Manor have oiled a big squeak.  Audrey has not willing taken a bath in about a year.  Bath time usually involves wrestling a howling Audrey into the bath tub, giving up, and then giving her some sort of sponge bath.  However, in these last few weeks, Things Have Changed!  Bud leapt from his Whale of a Tub right into the real bath tub and Audrey dove in after.

Ah, yes, Mother, why I am enjoying a nice, relaxing bath all by myself.

Methinks, I detect a disturbance.

What creature is this that erupts from the sea?

Yup, the sea creature is still there.

If I ignore it, will it go away?

So, as you can see, both of the children were successfully bathed, and miracles! of all miracles! continue to joyfully submit to the wonders of cleanliness!

Late Winter Video Montage (guest post)

Here are some video highlights of the last few months in the lives of the Millers.  Unfortunately, most of our trip out to Washington was documented in photos; however, I've got some great clips from the Milford homestead and a few from our recent trip out to Lake Winola.  As you can see, the lil Mills aren't quite so lil anymore.  Bud is days away from walking, and Audrey is next to impossible to keep up with these days.

Obviously, these montages don't tell the whole story.  For that, you'll have to come by and see for yourself.  Consider that an open invite to all friends of Millers out there!

The Daily Bud: Sick Day Three

Yup.  Still sick.  This is us right now.  Me with a computer on my knees as I finish up my conference paper.  I can do it all!  (Except shower.  When was the last time I showered?  Seriously.  I have no idea.)

The Daily Bud: Sick Day

Bud has his third ear infection in as many months.  The doctor prescribed antibiotics and snuggles.

Done! and done!

This is my spring break, so I'm not missing work, but my things to do list is, as follows:

1.  Write paper for conference, oh, on Friday
2. Teach myself beadwork for a tutorial I'm giving, oh, on Monday
3.  Drive across two states with family in tow to give paper at said conference.
4.  Visit family in Pennsylvania.
5.  Correct 40 midterms.

I'm only mildly stressed out about all of this, mainly because Bud is snoring on my chest right now and it's about the cutest sound you ever heard.

The Daily Bud and Audrey: Millers on Parade!

Yesterday was our first Milford St. Patty's Day Parade.

We got Pattied.

As people are apt to do on St. Patty's parade day, Audrey overindulged, cookie-style.

Bud was in the spirit of things, too.

Audrey was a little disappointed in Bud's festiviness . . .

a situation she quickly rectified.

I hope you all had a great St. Patty's Day Parade Day, too.

The Daily Bud: Shake, Shake, Shake

I know this has been a rather Bud-centric blog lately.  But seriously (Bud seriously?), Bud has been killing it lately.

Here is the Budinkster shaking his maracas in music class.

Notice how the Little Mover gang has to be restrained during music class.  You just can't let that groove go free.

The Daily Bud: Little Mover

Today Bud officially moved out of his infant room at daycare into the aptly named, "Little Movers" room.  He is, if anything, a Little Mover.

He crawls.

He stands.

He one-handed stands.

And it was only a year ago that Alex took this picture.  He was a Little Kicker then.

Puff You: The Puffs Strike Back

Me.  Sitting two feet away from my kids.  Writing a letter of recommendation for one of my students.  And in that one moment of distraction, puffs!  Puffs!  Everywhere!  Puffs!

Partners in Puffery!

Don't let Bud's innocent expression fool you!

Bud's flees the scene of the crime, while Sailor does CSI duties.
